Mental Wellness in the Media Space: Centering Healing for Creators

In a fast-paced media landscape, it’s easy for creators to lose sight of their mental wellness. The pressure to continuously produce, perform, and innovate can take a toll, especially for Black creators who may already be contending with systemic challenges. At BMN, we believe in the importance of mental wellness and support our creators by providing resources and a platform that nurtures both creativity and healing.

Dr. Phillip J. Roundtree, one of BMN’s core creators, emphasizes the importance of mental health, particularly in the context of Black liberation and wellness. His advocacy work and deep understanding of the mental health challenges facing the Black community informs much of our approach at BMN. Our goal is to not only amplify voices but also to provide a supportive environment where creators can feel safe to express themselves without compromising their mental and emotional well-being.

As we continue to grow, we are committed to integrating mental wellness into the conversation around creativity and media. This post highlights how BMN is prioritizing the health of its creators while fostering an environment of advocacy and support.
